hey guys, the date when will bitcoin halve ? What do you think?

We always get crashes over 40% if you look back 4 years.

What is your bet of a bitcoin halving price event ?

Have a guess?

I think, there's a small chance, about 3%-5%, that bitcoin price will drop by 50%. A week before the first bitcoin forking, bitcoin price have rised from $1,861.58 in July,2017 up to $2,867.44 in August 1, 2017. It even continuously climbed up in the market and reach its highest price for the month of August at $4,720.00 and reached its highest price in the first 9 months of the year at $4,939.00 before it fell down to $2928.00 (a 40% price drop) in Mid-September.

Now that it has reached its all time-high at $5,880.00 last Sunday and $5,780.00 today, there only way where its price will drop by 40%-50% is that when investors will withdraw their investments in bitcoin after the October 25 BTC forking (a.k.a. creation of bitcoin gold) and investing it again to altcoins.

Note: the data that I used are based on Poloniex Crypto-Exchange site.

As of now, I highly doubt we'll see a tank that strong. This drop won't be here for the next month. The biggest thing that could happen to Bitcoin was it being banned by China, which has basically already happened. Unless all countries decide to screw BTC over and not accept it at all, I see no way for BTC to tank a large amount.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

I think he does not divide the two, it's just a branch of bitcoin that is bch with bcg (coming), so the price stays there and the set is the enthusiasts in the market not because it is split

for now, there is really no reason for it to drop. Unless there is a major breakdown or ban by US. if it happens, then all coins will suffer then the market is on sales again.

I know the time of the great depression, yeah, that's the time. BTC will be reduced by half. Maybe in 2-3 years

I am not sure that would be accurate, BTC is seen as a safe haven asset in situations like that.

Consider the north korea threats earlier in the year. That made bitcoin rocket higher.

A depression type event, the price of bitcoin would probably double fairly fast.

Hmmm....

I've read from this forum that Bitcoin will be halving I think by 2020, it occurs every 4 years but we still don't know if it is still following the 4 year rule because bitcoin might halve after the fork. We'll never know and we should always expect the unexpected too.

We always get crashes over 40% if you look back 4 years.
if you look back you can see drops as big as 40% are very rare and the closer you get to the present day they become rarer.

What is your bet of a bitcoin halving price event ?

"halving" is referred to the event when the block reward goes to half its previous value. from 25 to current 12.5 for example. this even will happen in 2021 where it goes to 6.25.
and if previous 2 halvings are any indication, price will go up at least twice.

This is really a hard thing to predict. especially after of all the news that came out about the coin. JP morgan's CEO statement even strengthen the coin's value. So despite of many trials on the coin prices are still going up. Incoming fork is even making the price high because the previous fork didn't affect the price and people are hoping to get more from it.

As for the moment i don't think it will. Not even for 20%. That's a very big dump to aim at. It wll multiply more than half as i look at it. But half the value of what it is, that's very unlikely for now.
