Hi guys.

I was running GUIMiner for couple months now. I'm still newbie and learning about Bitcoin network. Today I hit a snag. Is Slush network (at least part of it) under DDoS again or something? Forum is loading like a slug carrying Galactic Core on his back. It requires few reloads to see something more than just black/blue text on white/grey background. It maybe also some localized "phenomena".

My default configuration connected to Slush via default http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332. That is not the case today. I was running on Eligius pool today. Often it just idled, but in general worked, returned over 1000+ shares. Also tested BFG Miner and it worked, but couldn't figure out how to switch between VGAs (running one gtx580 for general use and 7950 for mining) and text mode is scary and... microsopic Grin. Still I just couldn't matter rest and one of old post guided me in the right direction. Saved backup of my default config, and edited poclbm.ini by hand. Replaced http://api.bitcoin.cz with stratum.bitcoin.cz, changed ports from 8332 to 3333 and saved. Started GUIMiner again et voilà it works, but with server window set to Other instead of slush pool.

There were/are some issues with invalid blocks but so far nobody reported the problem I have today. I would love to see situation cleared out before tomorrow as it would require more changes to configuration on different machine.

Any tips much appreciated. Smiley
