Wondering if Smart Contract (& possibly DApp thing? ) can be implemented on Bitcoin.. An Altcoin seems to be taking lots of market share probably due to smart contract... It is too risky to let that happen in my opinion  due to the number of successful attacks the Alt has faced couple with the bad review it got from a very knowledgeable & experienced person on this forum .. . could be why World governments love and promote the Alt?
Bitcoin has withstood lots of attacks, i doubt the Alt can survive half of such attacks if it takes over the market share. Can't Bitcoin just have smart contract?

Yeah smart contracts are also possible on bit coins as not everyone carries physical currencies with him every time. Crypto currencies help everyone because of their easier access from anywhere, any part of the world at any time. I think this will encourage more investors and business men to make smart contracts in bitcoins.

In my opinion, the vision of this smart contract is more just to make a currency platform like bitcoin, with this technology it is expected that developers will create new services or even new currency that is publicly available, users only need to send / put money (ether) to the contract address to be able to use the service.

it is actually coming to bitcoin. there is this project called RootStock that has started a while ago and it is supposed to bring smart contracts to bitcoin as a sidechain.

not really. it is just a hype of this year. like something else was last year and last year. it will fade away.
and so far "smart contracts platforms" are just being used for lots of ICOs each day and all of them that i have seen are completely useless!

Not as of now, but as the poster below me touched on, there are various projects underway to implement smart contracts into Bitcoin.
