Hi guys

I need some help with my current setup.

The specs are as follows:
Gigabyte H61MA-D2V
4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
Intel Celeron G465
Antec HCP-1200
3 x MSI HD 7970 Lightning
1 x Gigabyte HD 7970 Windforce
320GB HDD with Windows 7 Ultimate
3 x PCI-E x1 Powered Risers

I have four of these miners.

Now they are all setup up in 4 individual rack mount cases and placed in a medium sized rack mount chassis.
I have a NovaView Knv108 8 port KVM switch where each miner is connected to.
I am currently using USB -> PS2 converter and DVI -> VGA converters as the KVM switch only supports PS2/VGA.
I then have a standard PS2 keyboard and mouse and a Samsung 20" VGA LCD connected to the KVM switch.

This setup works really well as I can just press a button and control any of my miners with only one keyboard, mouse and screen.
Each miner mines without any problem and all cards are overclocked with MSI Afterburner.

But my problem is I cannot get the miners to start up unless I have selected them on my KVM.

If I select "1" on the KVM and switch miner1 on everything boots up fine.
But if I select "1" and switch miner2 on, it powers up as per normal, then when I push "2" it just displays a black screen.
Upon looking at my Mining Pool Account I see that the miner2 is also not mining.

I have Teamviewer and VNC installed and both also give a black screen when trying to connect to miner2 (or whichever miner was booted without being selected on the KVM).

Basically I want each miner to be able to boot up headlessly and begin mining. Then, if I wanted to, I could come along and select the miner on the KVM switch and control it.

I have tried the following:
1: Installing Teamviewer Monitor driver and booting without selecting KVM - Still black screen

2: Enabling the on board GPU in BIOS and plugging the KVM switch into the on board VGA - Still black screen if KVM switch isn't selected.
If it is selected then the miner boots fine but MSI Afterburner or any other GPU program does not detect any of my 7970s.
I tried disabling UPLS in the registry, using Trixx and even UPLS Configuration Utility but nothing worked.
I tried making a dummy plug for one of the 7970s and booted using on board but still nothing would pick up the 7970s.

3. Placing a dummy plug in the second 7970, with the KVM plugged into the first 7970 - Booted without selecting KVM, was able to access and control the miner using Teamviewer and VNC but as soon as I selected the KVM switch I would just get a black screen on the KVM screen.

As stated above I have Windows 7 Ultimate on each miner along with AMD CCC 13.4.

Its such a hassle to stand there and manually boot each miner every time, and what happens when I add more at a later stage?

My optimal setup will be to use the on board to display the desktop and the 7970s to mine with the KVM switch to control them in person, and Teamviewer/VNC for remote control.
That way if a card were to crash, I would not loose my desktop display while the rest of the cards continue to mine. (Which is what happened a few times while trying different OC settings)

Any help is greatly appreciated  Smiley
