Last weekend I said that the Caixin article was no FUD, I was bashed.
BitcoinTalk is full of clowns and posers, where most people don't even know how bitcoin works and other possibilities of blockchain technology, you don't deserve any piece of advice from the guys who know more than you.
It's the same again and again, people who know nothing about bitcoin are mostly brainwashed by blockstream and just say: SEGWIT IS HERE! MOON!, no, Bitcoin has more problems than you can imagine, that's why I will always tell everyone that bitcoin will most likely never be anything more than just digital gold. It's a matter of time till bitcoin becomes the second and possibly third currency on cryptomarket.
People will likely burn you for this, but I do agree with this quite a bit. Many people here are indeed posers, acting as if they are brilliant investors that have great understanding of Bitcoin and investing in general, while it's mostly just smoke and mirrors. The level of bluff here is appalling sometimes, not to mention how BTCtalk (just like in 2013) seems to live in a separate world. All criticism is FUD, all positive news (no matter how insignificant) is 'great news'.
If this place would be more down to earth, so many people wouldn't have fallen in the trap that unfolded over the past two weeks. Because mind you: there will be plenty of them around here, stuck in the honey pot due to the bluff I just described, mostly from oldtimers.
