Author Topic: Best Btc exchange(s) for people who live in NY?  (Read 175 times)

Please help me with the best bitcoin exchanges online to buy and trade bitcoin I live in NY and some of the exchanges don't accept NY users..... Coinbase is a no go they closed my account a year ago I just need an easy and secure exchange to set up.... thanks for any input!

You can try GDAX, fees are low, reputation is solid enough.
If you don't mind providing your ID documents then you can go for Kraken too.

What happened with Coinbase?

You can try GDAX, fees are low, reputation is solid enough.
If you don't mind providing your ID documents then you can go for Kraken too.

What happened with Coinbase?

Well if Coinbase is out of the question, then Gdax is going to be out of the question as well. As Coinbase owns Gdax so you're going to have to try to get your account back with them or try something new altogether.

Some other alternatives could be Gemini and ItBit, a lot of the other ones that are out there are international or not accepted by NY.

Sadly these aren't the best in general, but that's what you're stuck with.

I stand corrected then, Gdax being owned by Coinbase slipped my mind. Then Coinmama is also another option, but avoid bank cards transactions, their fees are ridiculously high, 5 or 6% from what I can recall. They also request KYC. Otherwise, solid service.
