The Spanish banking giant Banco Santander recently announced the launch of its new global payment system based on blockchain technology for retail customers in European nations: Spain, Brazil, United Kingdom and Poland. The bank plans to extend the service to more countries in the coming months.
The new service, known as ‘Santander One Pay FX’, allows customers to make international transfers on the same day in many cases or the next day. The service also shows the exact amount received in the currency of destination before making the transfer.
