Armory Windows Client Scanning Process Error

I have Armory v0.93.3 running on a Windows 7 box as a watching only wallet. A couple weeks ago I started getting "The scanning process interrupted unexpectedly. Armory will shutdown." First I deleted the database directory. Still same problem. Next I did a complete factory reset in the Armory UI, including the blockchain. Still same problem. Any idea how to fix?

cause I try already all newer versions of armory 0.95.1 and 0.93.3 - with the same result.
Can't use online Armory, currently

doanload the latest armory version, and install it.

after starting armory it keeps showing the loading screen, with the message on the top "Loading 100%"

here is the newest (and good) info:

after re-starting armory within a new "--datadir" it seems it's working:
a) Syncronising with Network => OK
b) Building Databases => OK
c) Scan Transaction History => OK

0.96.2 holds the online wallet (watch only) - while the cold storage runs 0.93.3 (at a raspberry);

Is it possible to confirm (sign) orders made by 0.96.2 within release 0.93.3 ?
