It depends on what token you're looking at trading. Just go to coinmarketcap.com and look it up there. 1. Search up the cryptocurrency you want to trade and click on it 2. Click on the "markets" option, then the exchanges for that certain cryptocurrency/token would be listed below. Provided a screenshot for you.

If your token has been listed on an exchange, you should be able to find all the exchanges it has been listed on coinmarketcap. And if not, just chill until they have done that. I believe you should know how to send your tokens from your ETH wallet since most tokens now are ERC20 based tokens anyway. It is a simple process by just opening an account with exchange and transferring the token to the exchange wallet. You can then exchange it.

If there is no lockup period EtherDelta is the place to go. You might need some time to get how it works and it may be a bit slow but will do the job.

yeah, I enough agree they pretty good there but not yet the best. that I like about them because they fast enough to add an Ether-based Token and 'usually' not long after ICO completes, the token already there in Etherdelta. But, what does the OP intend to buy the token from the exchange or buy a token that is still on ICO?

Well, it's very easy. Just find the token you wanna buy/trade, see which exchanges listed it and deposit Bitcoin on that exchange. If the token is not tradeable on exchanges yet, you may even try on this forum. Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

That is the problem. There should be an exchange (actually one coming soon called altcoinexchange) that only deals wit altcoins and tokens and lists every single one. That would be great.

Would suggest you take your time and do some research before investing in an ICO and not knowing how this procedure works. That is slightly disconcerting.

Post-ICO? Some post ICO tokens are not even hit an exchange yet. So you have to wait to release them to exchanges before you can trade them. But still Its up to you what post ICO tokens you want to trade. As others were saying, you can check coin marketcap and find what market or exchange they are available to trade. If you have ICO tokens and you don't know where to trade it. Just make a thread here and say that you want to sell your ICO tokens. But i suggest, wait until it hits exchange first before dumping because they are more valuable at the phase.

To trade Bitcoin for tokens, I recommend NovaExchange. It is a highly reliable exchange and been around for a while, and seems legit.

These replies above are the prime example of why you shouldn:t trust bitcointalk for information nowadays. : Didn't even bother to read the OP, you guys.
Post-ICO tokens can only be traded if an exchange agreed to list them on their platform, same as to what other coins around the market. You can check them on coinmarketcap or tokenmarket if you want the status of the coin being traded or not. Tokens are only given out by the ICO team, usually for pre-sale or issuing bounties. When it hits the exchanges, that is when you'd be able to trade them.

Which token do you want to trade? Fill its name on coinmarketcap.com , you will find where the token is trading at.

If you are looking to buy into tokens, it is best you have Ethereum instead of bitcoin which you can easily exchange in any exchange platform or if you have blockchain.info wallet. If you wish to stay updated on any latest token, it is best if you can visit the bounties(altcoin) thread to check what is going on in the ICO world. However, you should consider the coin you are buying pretty well so you don't end up falling in the hands of scammy and shitty coins.
