Hello, please I need a detailed explanation on how etherdelta works, I don't want to get burnt as a first timer,
Buying and selling, placing order and all necessary hints I need to know.
I hear I can sell an ICO there, a coin that is just in development stage, that have not even hit an exchange. Thanks

There are a lot of video's on Youtube that explain how Etherdelta works.
Maybe you should just look it up there.

I would recommed you to use really small volumes for trading at first until you get used to it and figuere out how it works. After that before every trade, DOUBLE CHECK everything, especially the price and amount. If you make a typo or fill in the wrong field your resources might get burned, there's no way to cancel your orders quick enough. I myself lost 0.5 ETH like this once.

For ERC-20 Tokens Etherdelta is normally the Exchange you can trade it immerdiately after the distribution or after it's unlocked by the devs. Mostly it takes a few days until Liqui will add it after Etherdelta. But there are still some Tokens you can only trade on Etherdelta.

It is true that at the beginning you need to take small steps, and then you can operate with ease

it is quite easy. Deposit, trade, withdraw. here is a reference on how to do this

https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherDelta/comments/6hrmsl/how_to_deposit_withdraw_and_transfer/

It is true that at the beginning you need to take small steps, and then you can operate with ease

That is just an option, so if you make mistakes (which could happen for newbies) the loss is very minimal. Just until you are familiar on how to do things on etherdelta.

I use etherdelta just for instant buy and sell, not for common trading, search on youtube or google to use etherdelta, and try small amount for the first, if you use import account better to move all your coin to new ETH wallet after finished the trade.

Click in right top corner "select account".
Import private keys or create new address.
Select token you want to trade in top left corner.
In balance, write token amount and click deposit(tokens will be transfered to ethdelta), make sure you have enough ether in address where you are holding tokens.
Now, click sell and place your order.

I also followed a detail explanation of how to use etherdelta through youtube and just walked through on how to deposit coins and withdraw from that site too because it's much easier to just pause the part wherein you don't really understand. It's hard to just type in here the process because it's somewhat complicated but once you try withdrawing from this site it'll be easier to do it the next time. Here's the link to the youtube channel I followed the instructions with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FGnHFBYqAI&t=1620s.

Etherdelta is no different with other exchangers. We are just less familiar with how it looks. But other facilities are same, even i think etherdelta is the best place to sell tokens on MEW with instant process.

If you want more detailed explanation in etherdelta, go search online or watch some videos in helpful sites like youtube.I used etherdelta so many times, first if you want to sell your coins just go to the , "NEW ORDER" menu but you must deposit first by importing your wallet " import account" that has a token in it, then choose the token that you have in the upper left corner and then you can now sell it.

This steps must not be wrong in execution to avoid errors from coming out. There's explanations to be followed online, but it's enough that you read this thread here because most of the comments comes from traders including me. Upon importing your wallet, you should keep the private key secure and don't ever store the keys at your public post if ever you posted mistakenly. Etherdelta has a very fast trading mode of transactions, that's why many traders trusted this site because it's very secured.

if I am a little trouble trading in etherdelta.
so so far I use etherdelta if there is a project that I join bounty campaign and the coin into etherdelta so I immediately sell there.
not for trading and because I also do not understand to put the selling price so far I immediately sell instantly without the price first

initially using etherdelta is somewhat difficult, as others have explained, you can see the tutorial through youtube videos, and many articles that explain the stages using etherdelta, once understood, will be very easy to use, good luck
