Hi all,

This post is not an announcement of an impending ICO, but rather to receive feedback for the Aversafe product vision.

Aversafe is a new blockchain-backed product we are working on to solve the issues facing employees, employers and educational institutions. Namely, we see the amount of fraud, deception and erosion of a trust a significant challenge for all parties involved.

For employees - to reduce delays in the hiring process, highlight and surface employees with verified records and simplify the job application and documentation processes.

For employers - to immediately build trust in candidates, reduce time to hire and simplify and decrease costs in background checks even for hires where credentials were obtained internationally.

For educational institutions - to minimise the overhead and cost associated with manual verification and reduce the success of diploma mills cutting into University trust.

We believe the only way to address this on a global scale is through the use of blockchain technology, which provides us with a mechanism by which to ensure attestations are correct, immutable and committed to a ledger all actors can trust.

Today, no global solution exists to this problem, a problem highlighted by the Groningen Declaration, due to the significant geopolitical, jurisdictional and PII concerns involved with privileged data sovereignty. Furthermore, country-based solutions proposed by Universities have only gone as far as certificate verification and are usually limited to a handful of educational institutions. We believe this problem is broader than just top-tier educators but also extends to language schools, professional associations and even comprises of identity and work history data which can be attested independently by both previous employers and colleagues.

We envisage a global network in which users hold their data, choose how and when their data is shared, and have the right to revoke access at any time. Equally important, is the mechanisms by which both employers and educational institutions can engage, attest, request and consume data to speed up their internal process.
