Hi bitcointalkers .
I made this poste to show the dark side within bitcoin .
Well, I saw many posts talking about success stories with this cryptocurrency , but no one talks about FAILURE in BTC .
For example : I knew bitcoin since it was 500 usd , I used to use faucets and collected some 0.01 BTC ( that time was worthless) I sold some If the amount to a SCMER on localbitcoin , I lost the big part on yobit , and the rest is still blocked on virwox .
This was my story with bitcoin , it's true that I did not pay attention , but failure can be reality with bitcoin.
I have also failed a lot in doing lots of investments online, but in our failures or in our most difficult moments lie our greatest successes, I am happy with what I have been able to make on the bitcoin network today.

Yeah. You're right. We never heard about failure stories about bitcoin. I tell my story how it goes when I started believing on a ponzi schemes well I waste lots of money for that and always ending with scams failures. That's when I started to browse here and I found out that there is no easy on bitcoin it just that ponzi schemes takes all you're money by believing that you can get it back twice within days. That was may darker days of my bitcoin I waste lots of them not knowing I was fraud to it.

Bitcoin is a way to make profit along with knowledge gain. This sometimes goes out of our predictions causing failure, but one needs to trust that the price pumping is assured. Not only with bitcoin, everywhere when we experiment we get the output and from that can learn how to be successful and what needs to be done to overcome failures.

Can you pls tell more details about localbitcoins scam? I've been curious about  any possible problems with those escrow systems but haven't seen anything usefull on the forum. Thought whe worse thing is that your funds can freeze for a long time on escrow acc.
Months ago , I saw a person on localbitcoin buying bitcoin ( higher than the price average) , I sold some coins to this person , but he didn't send me anythingto my PayPal account...he was simply SCAMER .

Did you sent your bitcoin straight to his adress avoiding the escrow system? I thought  it is nessecary for all localbitcoins transactions.
Also remember that PayPal is reversable and such offers might be a scam even if you get your funds after the deal.

A side note to Paypal, They do not offer Buyer protection for purchasing Bitcoins. That was my failure upon entering the bitcoin world, despite confirming with one of their agents ahead of time that I was covered. I did use my credit card through paypal, and as of right now they are offering Fraud protection, and I hope they don't come back and reverse that decision. They still have 2 months to decide, but as many have said I chocked it up to a lesson learned and realized that the fees through exchanges aren't so bad especially when compared to getting ripped off.

I failed on bitcoin investment way back late 2015 when the price of 1 bitcoin is worth 500usd, thats the time when I started bitcoin, no enough knowledge of inveatment scam the only thing I know that time is that bitcoin is legal but not aware of scams using bitcoin. I invested a total of 600usd in a hyip type of investment, I earned but due yo my greed I decided to reinvest it until the company shutdown their website and I lost my all my bitcoin.

I'm regret that since I first knew bitcoin in 2014 I did not buy much, then the price is not more than $ 120 and if I buy 1000 btc and I'm selling at the current price, of course I get a big profit.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I have also lost 0.05BTC on a bot which I can not get refund.

But it is life. You should not let small frustration defeat you.

Well we fail in almost every aspect in some point of our lives. Just think of failures as oppurtunities to learn. It's good to be reminded about  the threats in bitcoin world and I agree it is the reality.
Very well said! I will second you without having a second thought. I think failures are part of life. There is hardly any person who has never failed in his life. I think that one should learn from his mistakes so that he may not repeat the same mistakes in the future to avoid further loss. You should learn how to become better by learning from your experience.
