What is DASH?
Dash (formerly known as Darkcoin and XCoin), launched in January of 2014, is an open source peer-to-peer cryptocurrency that offers all the same features as Bitcoin but also has advanced capabilities, including instant transactions (InstantSend), private transactions (PrivateSend), and decentralized governance (DGBB). Dash uses a two-tier architecture to power its network while its decentralized governance and budgeting system makes it the first decentralized autonomous organization.
Till now, about 7.56 million DASH have been mined with a total market cap of about 2.45 billion dollars, ranking 6th in global cryptocurrency market capitalizations.
