I am fairly new to programming.  I understand alot of the ideas and concepts behind programming, it makes sense to me, but I haven't been taught how to connect and interact with API's yet.  I want to make a bitcoin dice bot for PD3 and would really appreciate a walk through on how to connect to the API and make my first bet, I dont need my hand help through the ENTIRE process, just connecting and wrapping my head around how the interaction works.

I'm really broke but if you need to be paid, I guess we can work something out.  I've been trying to do this for months and would really appreciate a human teacher.

I know C++ but I realize its not ideal for this.  I am planning to write the program in Java or Python.  You don't need to teach my languages, I understand the syntax and concepts, just maybe show me which libraries to use and how to send requests.

I am a Java user (with 17k stack overflow reputation). I would be glad to help you over irc for free, though my schedule is a bit rough over the next few days. You can find me on freenode as user "hexafraction". If you're unfamiliar with irc, I can help you over PM.

I have recently become active again after a long period of inactivity. Cryptographic proof that my account has not been compromised is available.
