How to do the wallet update?

Multiple coin wallets started to require the update of the wallet to the new ltc wallet. But how does that work? Because I am mining worldcoin and the wallet requires the new ltc update but that update is an ltc wallet, so it should not work with world coin. So what is going on with this update?

they just copied the LTC code, so you have to wait until *coin updates their client. was the same with FTC
