I have a Sapphire 7850 which was being used for mining LTC.  I was using BAMT and the card mined @ 350kh/s for days on end with no issues.  I changed the rig's OS from BAMT to Xubuntu.  I tried running CGMiner with the same settings/drivers as I was using in BAMT but the system resets after 15-20 minutes of mining. I am using the following settings: I=19, TC=8192, gpu-engine=1100, gpu-memclock=1350.  After experimenting a bit, I found the card will run stable in Xubuntu if the intensity is at 17 or lower, but this is a loss of at least 100kh/s compared to what I had been getting.  Cgminer reports a temperature of 67C and HW:0.

Why would I have stability issues in Xubuntu with higher intensity setting but BAMT runs fine?  What could be causing this?  Thanks.

Hi,
I've got the same card but it doesn't work on BAMT. (Getting HW's)
Would you mind posting your BAMT conf and Cgminer version?
Thanks, Minir.

P.s you might need to (re)fine-tune your settings for Xubuntu it works differently from BAMT. (I think.)
