I realize this might sound a bit stupid to ask but, if i were to purchase one of those 5GH/s ASICs now, how long do you think before they ship it to me (not talking about shipping times). I heard somewhere they have started shipping or something, does this mean i wouldnt have to wait a year to get mine? Thanks.  |

Your question cannot be answered because not enough data exists to process your query. This. I considered ordering in August of last year, and am glad that I didn't. Out of curiosity I submitted an inquiry about a week ago with your exact question, and still haven't received a response. That was enough of an answer for me... |

Apparently they are shipping - but slowly, and only the cheaper models.

Its not looking good for people who ordered those ASICS. BFL is using them to mine coins and probably using the money from orders to make more machines which they will eventually ship after the difficulty goes way up.

If you bought one from them now you probably wouldn't see any profit from it when and if you actually receive it. I've heard of people buying other's pre-orders to jump up in the line but that's still sketchy  |
