Ever found yourself wondering if BTC is worth 1 million USD yet?

Refuse to part with your sats until they're worth at least 1 cent?

Wonder no more - visit isbtc1m.com for an immediate answer

Don't worry if it shows NO - the world is still syncing and catching up to the real value of BTC. It's only a matter of time before it shows YES. I suggest refreshing aggressively

But Why?

Why not?

Do I think that the price of bitcoin is ever going to reach a million? I highly doubt it.

I do like the site though Cheesy Just a couple of things I noticed:

The "why" page first loads the tweet as normal text, and then it turns to an embedded tweet a few seconds later. I don't believe that's the normal behavior, and if it is, it's very slow.

Also as a suggestion, I think both pages should be in one (meaning the main page, and the why page).

Also for the fun of it, you could also list some "one million" price predictions linking to articles/videos (made by companies, or known individuals like Saylor).

It's only a 16x from here Smiley

This is unfortunately a side effect of how Twitter's embeds work - the formatted rendering is done by Twitter's SDK, which is extremely inefficient. There used to be workarounds to speed it up, but they all broke after the Twitter API was nerfed.

Also as a suggestion, I think both pages should be in one (meaning the main page, and the why page).

Excellent ideas! I'll work on some more material, maybe a sats conversion chart and quotes.

Appreciate the feedback!

You make it sound cheap: 1 BTC = $0.06M

Your site reminds me of https://hasthelargehadroncolliderdestroyedtheworldyet.com/. I hope yours reaches YES first.

Why not?
I know the answer why not, because USD didn't kick off hyperinflation yet, but it's not impossible to see that happening in next few years.

Maybe you should also consider posts from Hal Finney who was making even higher bitcoin price predictions.

I came up with an even more extravagant estimate of $10 million a couple years ago on the cryptography list
Bitcoin has the potential to become the dominant currency for large-scale electronic transactions worldwide. If this happens, bitcoins could be worth millions of dollars each.

Some excellent suggestions - I've updated the Why? page to include a link to the mailing list and quote the main excerpt from Hal.

The main page also shows the multiplier needed now - it's still only 16x! Hard to believe we can still buy so cheap after all these years.
