The company I'm building is ActiveHold.com a cash loan service that will use cryptocurrencies as collateral. Yes, it's similar to SALT but there won't be an ICO or membership fees. It is a direct and simple service.
I want to ask the community if there is strong interest in this service, would love to get feedback.

Thank you

There is definitely interest in this space as SALT isnt the only one out there if I got my facts straight. But how would you get the capital, a team, and everything else you need if you run no ICO or membership? Dont see how

that business model functions but am curious to find out Smiley

I am working with an investor who has successfully created regular loan companies, so we have an expert who knows the business model and capital would be taken care of.  As for the team we would start small and slowly grow as we grow.
The website is part of my profile if you would like to sign up!

Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it

I'm assuming your investor also knows the local regulations & requirements for running an MSB.

Why is an investor who knows the space & has the capital joining you? What are you bringing to the business?

Of course there will always be demand for the business, if you've got a solid team & great marketing i'm sure you'll do fine.

crypto is variable fluctuating currency.  Are you going to peg it to USD or some other stable currency?

It will be USD based, also there will be a loan to value ratio so if the value of say BTC drops significantly the borrower would need to pay additional. The reverse is also possible, they can pay off their debt if BTC significantly increases.
That is more of a concern for long term loans. There will be short term mico loans too.

I've been in the crypto scene since mt.gox and offer my experience in the scene, knowledge of peer to peer payments and how to safely store coins. I'll be doing most of the down and dirty work until we build a team.

I will hold their coins.
I think people don't want to sell their coins for cash because in long term the coin will hopefully be worth more. So I'm giving them a way to use their cash without losing their investment.

- There isn't any rules against this because you can create a company that will give loans for anything really.

- It will be direct with us, there will be legal documentation to prevent fraud is either direction

- I will hold the bitcoin

Thanks! This is why I'm here, to make sure I set it up right and show my investors that there is a market.
