As a newbie I wanted to see some transactions in my wallet without spending money on an exchange. Just to get a feeling how this bitcoin thing is working.

Afer playing around with various sites I would say bitvisitor is the only one that is working reliable and is easy to understand (e.g. not overloaded with ads etc.):

I have a site that will let you go from one faucet to another. I use it in conjunction with BitVisitor as well, Smiley.

http://coinfaucets.tk

Since BV has 5 minute timers, you can knock out all the faucets in one or two BV sites. Then the site will keep up with your cooldowns so you know when you can hit the faucets again.

Message for info on how to get kickbacks on sites like Nano (above) and CryptoPlay!
