Ok I'll start with I'm using SMOS. And when ever I reboot the rig it looses a card. I have 7 - 1070's running and to get all of them to show up in SMOS when I reboot I have to reseat all 7 - x 1 usb adapter cards into the pcie slot's. I do notice the x 1 usb adapter cards are really loose in the pcie slots. Is there a fix for this or does anyone know a pcie riser set that comes with more secure x 1 usb adapter card?

Don't you have some spare USB risers just in case? Why not get some! I would suggest getting some from Alibaba, can take a while to reach but you won't get any connection problems with them.
Moreover, I've had a bad experience using SMOS but can you give NVoc a try? That's the best pre-built Linux distro for mining.

First it's not the riser itself. It's the little x1 usb adapter card that plugs into the pcie slot on motherboard. Tried a dozen different ones. And Alibaba carry the same as others do I have a shit load from them. As for SMOS no problems once I understood it. It's soild. But I am using Nvidia cards. Rig running 24/7 for what seems to be 1 3/4 weeks non stop. It's just if I have to stop it and reboot do I see this problem.

Most people report that they are loose. Some people hot glue them.

It sounds like you MAY have another issue, I suggest reviewing the BIOS settings for ALL the usual recommended tweaks for your board—sometimes on a reboot settings are lost.
