Doesn't matter for mining at all. The titan series was always way overpriced for mining.

Too overpriced for mining, get the current line and wait till consumer volta comes out in Q1 next year

It’s just a teaser from Nvidia showing what’s next up in line. I wonder how more consumer Volta cards will do on compute-perhaps Volta cards will replace Vega in XMR? Nevertheless it seems to be a novelty card more than anything else at $3000 for gamers. Might be viable for workstations.

I would love to import and watercool a beast like this, since the blower cooler is pure trash at all and will obscure this cards performance, but at this price range plus import taxes, I prefer to travel in my vacations, sorry nvidia.  Grin

I have not tried this GPU and I will not try. I think that the price is too high. For $ 3,000 you can buy a fully assembled and customized rig from 7-8 RX 580 GPU. I'm sure that the profitability of this rig will be several times higher. Maybe this GPU will buy crazy gamers. For mining is not profitable.

I never had any thought like using Titan for mining or purchase Titan GPU, for me it's specially designed for AI or computing only.
But nice to hear about new Volta architecture, hope that 2000 series will be released soon.

The Nvidia Tesla V100 is a better card than Titan V and the only thing I can find about its mining capability is on this reddit post https://www.reddit.com/r/NiceHash/comments/7dmir5/mining_test_on_a_tesla_v100_left_vs_gtx_1080ti/

I might rent a vps with one to test out XMR mining to see how well it does. I imagine the cost won't be worth it.

EDIT: According to this website http://cryptomining24.net/hashrate-graphics-card-on-monero/
Tesla v100 gets 1677 h/s

TESLA V100-SXM2-16GB   16 GB HBM2 MEMOR   1677   105 W   XMR-STAK-N

Also according to this thread it gets 3.5 kh/s

i'm sure tesla will outperform radeon vega so 3.5k/s is more realisting then 1.6k ...
