Hello Again everyone - I realised that the amount of btc I was transferring was really teeny ( it was a test transaction ) and then some fine print caught my eye -
something about your transfer will be ignored if it is for less than the fees on the transfer itself....so maybe there is a perfectly normal explanation for my woes, and I
am sorry to waste anyone's time with meaningless rubbish....my online banking acc was attacked recently in a phishing attempt and I am still a bit shaken up and
super paranoid. Apologies to all.

If it was a phishing attempt it's unlikely that your computer is infected and therefore your wallet isn't either. But after any scare reinstall the operating system and move your coins to a different wallet.
