Hi, I'm a n00b. I'm trying to properly store my BTC, from Electrum to Trezor.

Issues: unconfirmed transfer, error message of "not enough funds".

I understand that if there was a low transaction fee placed, this could possible take hours. I didn't set a fee, the default Electrum transfer was set. It's been 3 hours.

I am using:
Mac OS Sierra
Electrum Version 2.9.2

Steps to recreate "no funds" in Electrum account:

Purchased BTC on Coinbase. I transferred a test amount to Electrum before Fork (Oct 25th).

As I was setting up Trezor today, I did two test $5 transfers at the same time:

Set up Trezor, transfered a test $5 from Coinbase to Trezor - no errors.
Tested $5 transfer from Electrum to Trezor - unconfirmed transaction.
Saw pending $5 in Trezor, thought that "all systems were go" and then attempted a 2nd transfer .25 BTC.
I received an error of not enough funds.
I tried the, "!" - for sending Max funds - got "not enough funds".

Assumptions? Am I waiting on this unconfirmed Electrum transfer, to be able to touch the rest of my $?

I googled, and saw that there's a child pays for parent. I don't know if that would solve my problem.

This is only the 2nd transfer I have attempted from my Electrum account.

Thanks.

If you sent the coins to your electrum wallet in one transaction, you need to wait for the first transaction to confirm.

You can send a second transaction by going to tools>preferences>transactions and deselecting "spend only confirmed coins" but that means that you're still waiting for the initial transaction to be confirmed.

Can you post the TXid of the first transaction from electrum - your test transaction?

I just tried what you suggested - with spend unconfirmed coins, and did the max fee.

Fingers are crossed that I am able to transfer my $ out.

If this transaction clears, I will def send you % of BTC as a thank you.

Your transaction has gone through. A donation is not required as I do get paid by my signature anyway so there's no obligation from you to donate anything.
