the fact that Russia is showing this much interest in bitcoin, despite all the contradictory news that we sometimes hear from them is the most interesting one here. this shows they are indeed find bitcoin intriguing an want to get involved more and more before they fall behind from the rest of the world.

i am also very excited to see them moving ahead with their mining plans. if their ASIC production is also as successful as i have been hearing then they will become a big power in bitcoin mining soon. and that helps with the decentralization "a little bit".
