INVEST IN ALTCOINS BEFORE SEGWIT2X, NOW OR LATER?

Hi guys,

I would like to have your sentiments on the current market. It is obvious to me that altcoins will recover after the fork as people will cash out some BTC and Segwit2x to buy cheap altcoins.

So the question now is to know when will be the best time to invest in altcoins for great profits. There are still 2 weeks to go until the fork, so there may be more room for altcoins to go down and Bitcoin to take dominance. My personal guess it that we will see altcoins deep a bit more before the fork as there are 2 weeks left.

Predicting anything about the Altcoins will be just a waste of time. Nobody can actually tell when will be the good time to invest in Alts.
I would recommend you to wait until the fork is done. Do not try to invest before the fork. What would you do if the price of Alts go more down after the fork. You would lose your value and also the free coins. That's what happened with me when Bitcoin Gold was gonna fork. I thought Alts would recover after the fork but instead of recovering it went more down.

You have to understand that this bullish trend for bitcoin is not just because of the upcoming fork, but some new investors stepping in. The thing is we can only speculate and we have no idea if bitcoin would stop the bullish trend after the fork and then we hope it does a little so as to give the altcoin some breathing space.

However, if I am to get into altcoin, I may just wait few hours before the fork to get in, at least then I would know that they have experienced a huge dip already and then still have a stop loss set, just in case of anything after the fork.

I understand that many investors are coming in, the hedge funds, the big money etc. But I doubt that they gonna buy Bitcoin at all time high. This is all hype for the moment, I think that the big money flow will come after correction.

Actually the alts recovered after the fork. Ark, Omg, Civic and many more gained around 15 to 30% the day after, it was a green day. But it was less than I expected, maybe because people anticipated the Segwit2x so they did not sell BTC. And the BTC gold price was very low, and difficult to sell on exchanges.
But this time, assuming the current value of Segwit2x, there should be a lot of free money coming into cheap altcoins, and a possible and healthy correction for BTC

It is really hard to say and even to say that definitely alts will recover, if bitcoin crashes hard it could hurt all cryptos in fact. If alts do recover I expect it will begin to happen before segwit2x.

I don't see how segwit should benefit altcoins...

Most of the time when huge changes like that take place in btc world, the effect is visible weeks ago and it creates a huge bull/bear trend. When it actually takes place it just continue the way it had.
And currently ALL alts are on a freaking downtrend! A quite crazy one!!!
Especially ETH, when I remember about people screaming that it'll be the next btc... XD
Look at the prices now, it's completely falling...

Don't invest in alts, keep your btc.

The right time can't be determined, it's just pure speculation. Upcoming fork will have some influence and maybe it would be wise to wait for the time after that, probably many alts will drop their price. Similar like with bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold who kept the price very short time and very soon afterwards they droped significantly. But like I said this is just speculation and every decision brings certain risk you have to accept.

I would tell you the things that I would do on this upcoming fork.Usually I do buy altcoins when it is already 3 days left before the fork.Most alts are possible on their possible bottom prices and it is effective for me since I have done this habit on buying on the last 2 forks on BCH and BTG.The main thing here is that don't buy carelessly.Always choose up the best altcoin in the market that can possibly recover up later on.
