Been mining Fastcoin on a P2Pool for an hour now and still no payout, how come?
You need to run p2pool for at least 24 hours to build up shares. It doesn't work like normal pools.

Stabilty: LTC
Profitbable Now: DGC possible future  1Gh network
Risk on future profitabilty: Stablecoin Nowhere yet but lots of potential
Big Risk Possible great return: Bitgem If the devs plans work out could be good. But it may go nowhere Difficulty .7
Really Big risk Possible great return: Bitcoin testnet Makes sense as an alt but not getting adopted unknown difficulty but it is low ( flame if you want  )

No It actually makes sense.Things that are too risky with the high value market of bitcoin could be implemented in tesnet first If It doesnt work out bitcoin is not affected. If it does testnet could become it's own alt or the features couls simply be added to the bitcoin protocol. There are a few members supporting it. Including Crazy_Rabbit who spoke at the bitcoin conference. Along side the devs from Freicoin, Litcoin and Opencoin's CEO He was there representing Terracoin of couse

He never mentioned testnet. All  I am saying with this is it really does make sense. It's not a bunch of newbies racking in testnet coins. It's established members of the community that know some things are just too risky but could benefit bitcoin tremendously. Do you need a new alt for this no Go with the established security of the bitcoin code

Its good in a sense that you will build up some of each coin But you still have to wait and sell at the right moment

What is to be skeptical about?
the first pool I used was notroll... I have my reasons to be skeptical of pool operators/humans in general ;P
but from what I've gathered the creator is legit and is actually putting time into it, pretty cool concept and actually does payout, the reason why I'm skeptical is because there's still no link to view your payouts. So I don't really know if I'm getting the amount I'm supposed to, but he/she addressed that issue in their thread and said that update will be coming soon.

Problem is if testnet have momentary value, they are then useless for testing. Which defeats the object.

Each developer can create his own testnet nowadays. If the Bitcoin developers release a new testnet we could stay on tesnet. 4 is it now? and update it based on the new code to do further experimentation.

I havent mined it but heard a few recpectable pepole buzzing about it. Hence the biggest risk of roi
