It is a question I've been having, I've been charged back on Paypal in the past like many others, although I do want to say I had a 50LTC for 500$ go through no problem...call a spade a spade. Seriously though is their anyway to circumnavigate Paypal's non protection of digital items(I know I agreed on that) through a physical representation of not the transaction but the item(other than Casascius BTC, they are pretty coolthough)

Physical item is no defense.

Receive item, redeem private key.
Chargeback as "item not as described".
PayPal/Ebay will ask buyer to send item back to seller.

But if you want to get eaten alive by scammers you could always print off a paper wallet and mail that.

wow, I had no idea that was a possibility, I wonder if eBay will every realize the tremendous amount of profit they could obtain from implementing seller protection for us, I foresee irony when they realize their mistake years down the road...

I agree with DeathandTaxes. I would avoid Bitcoin for Paypal transactions. I listed some Chinacoin and Feathercoin on EBay and almost got taken by buyers using stolen EBay and PayPal accounts.

Have you thought about selling BTC for cash locally? If that's something that interests you, check out localbitcoins.com/
