Second, what mysterious happenings? Anything specific? Every ICO is a risk and if you are throwing a dirt on something without any proof, then it's just false accusation or theory. I am just trying to gather information about this coin.

I dont know about that ico but i will tell you how to put on the right ico. Just put it to legit project and team. If the team never shows up in any conference or event dont put your coin there. And also if the project look shady or impossible you also dont put it there. Keep your hard work money safe bro..
