Need of Gambling and Gaming in blockchain?

Can someone educate me the need of gaming and gambling related projects in blockchain?

Is it something like, those projects understood the potential of cryptocurrencies and the quick millionaires in this space and wanted to make use of them Or there is a really a need and just that I am failing to understand?

At this point, I am looking GAME and WAGERR as a potential candidate in this space.

GAME is one of the best coins if you are looking for some gaming projects in all this world, but the other coin, i have never read anything about them, it is like a newbie coin for me, maybe you can explain it a little bit more.
But why do you need gambling and gaming in here? you can just play/gamble and do whatever you want with your bitcoins/tokens, why do you need a new project in order to be able to gamble?
I heard that Steam was going to release a new ICO soon, i am not sure, but it is good platform for games.
