Hi All,
Thanks for reading my problem and apologies if there is a similar topic, there are many similar cases but each was a bit different.
I have/had a multibit Classic v0.5.15 wallet back in late 2013. This contains 1.1BTC, I know this since I still know the receiving address from back then. I stored this wallet on an old laptop and had a copy of the wallet on an external harddrive. I didn't use the wallet on my laptop since then and my laptop at one point crashed and was reinstalled, but I still had the copied wallet on my external drive. I had tested that wallet before and it worked, not sure if I had tested it after that laptop crash.
A while later I remembered the wallet and tried to see what was on it. and it showed 0 BTC with a different receiving address Same thing applied to my litecoin wallet And with FBI taking down BTC-e im also screwed there - working to get this account authorized again.
I googled around a bit but didn't find a solution at that time, I forgot again and now few years later I hope to give it a good attempt to regain my BTC and LTC. Back then the wallet did show the transaction history (at this time it does not)
I still have the wallet files from my external harddrive, and various backups of those backups. Would it be possible to obtain my BTC based on this. The main issue seems to be that the wallet is not seeing my actual receive key as the current key, and with that not showing my BTC.
Any tips, scripts, posts that I can try to get my access back? I have synchronized the wallet, this didn't work. I have reset the blockchain and transactions, this didn't work.
