I'm a bit confused because I see people saying in different ways.
I thought english-native speaking people would always say "Ai-Cee-Oh" but yesterday one said that he preferred "Ai-co" to differentiate from "IPO".
How do prefer to say it ?

"Ai-Cee-Oh" personally but I often hear Ai-CO. Sounds a bit strange to me bc the I think it should follow suit with IPO.

Whether you say I..C..O,  or ICO, it means the same thing right? Doesn't matter anyway, the point is the same, your speaking of Initial Coin Offering.

This thread, must be the funniest one yet  Grin
But I felt the need to contribute my intellectual view on this very important query.
There is only one ICO, and it's the Initial Coin Offering! So whether you pronounce it as "ai-co" or "ai-cee-oh", people who are involved or know about the cryptoworld, would definitely know what your talking about. So no worries!
The funny thing is that if you google this question you will see that people actually wonder how it's pronounced.

"Ai - Co'? seriously? It sounds kinda weird.  Shocked I say it "Ai - Cee - Oh" it sounds much better than "Ai - Co" that gives me goose bumps and I don't know why lol. By the way it depends on whether you pronounce it that way or you pronounce it this way because the meaning is still the same. (Initial Coin Offering)  Grin Grin

I personally say I..C...O ( aii-cee-oh ) sounds really better. And i assume that each letter should stand independently from each other because meaning different words..

I use the second option. It looks much more suitable. Moreover all my friends say this way. But sometimes at youtube I hear the first option and this is kinda harmful for my ears)))

It's kinda weird when people say I-CO, because it's an abbreviation, so it has to be I-C-O. Imagine, institutional investors yelling I-PO, instead of I-P-O. lol but somehow you just got to understand people. lol

Whatever the case ........
I use either Ai Co.   Or. Ai   Cee.  O...  The most crucial aspect is that the speaker and the listener understands the concept behind it

I have heard some people pronouncing it as "scam". That's weird, because it sounds completely different... Anyone's thoughts on that?
