I am new here and have just found out that Bitcoin Classic has announced its closure. Is Bitcoin Classic the actual BTC that we all know and love? If they are closing it does that mean all of our BTC we are holding will become worthless?

Sorry I'm a bit confused and thought if anyone can help, you guys can!

in my research i have found that bitcoin classic is only a fork done in bitcoin, so bitcoin classic's shutting down doesnt mean that bitcoin will be worthless, yet btc is dipping now convert your btc to usdt if i were you
