Someone said that there is a fee for taking BTC out of a BTC-e account but I cannot find that anywhere on their website.  Can someone confirm or refute this?

It's just over 1 USD - that's not so bad really.

The trading fees are MUCH lower than MtGox for example.

For litecoin there is 0.5 LTC fees.
You can check fees details when you click on withdrawal button.

I thought mtgox didn't have any withdraw fees?  At least not for BTC?

He said trading fees man, and yes mtgox doesn't have any withdrawal fees for bitcoin.
