Wallet address disappeared

Hi All,

I have a problem which my wallet address I created in Kraken no longer exists.
The problem is that I had a transaction and I lost my money.
In the transaction I used wallet address created in Kraken. I can see in https://blockchain.info/ the transaction ID and wallet ID with the amount of money
in the transaction but Kraken no longer has my Wallet address.

Is there any way I can restore it? I contacted the support and this is their response:

The receiving address in the transaction you've sent is not one of your Kraken deposit addresses which can be found in your account at Funding>Deposit>XBT; so that is the reason it is not on your account.

I'm sorry I couldn't find you a resolution in this case.

As far as I can see the funds haven't moved from that address. I would advise you to investigate where you got the bitcoin address you sent the funds to and if it is a wallet provider or exchange reach out to them for support.

If they said that the address doesn't belong to your account, It means that It doesn't. I see no reason on why they will lie. I however suspect that you have a malware which is known to change the copied address to the malwares owner address. In other words, you sent the funds to the wrong address.

Its impossible that there is bitcoin address can be easily gone even in blockchain record..
Can you share with us the address what you are using.. Maybe omegastarscream was right this is well known issue. someone already experience this kind of virus in their machine that can anytime change the bitcoin address when you are pasting..

I have created a deposit address in my kraken account under the FUNDING tab. I haven't used the wallet for several months already but now decides to send some btc there yet only to find out, I didn't receive the BTC because the address is not there anymore.

Did Kraken announce they'd delete BTC address that were not used?

I just experienced exactly the same issue as you. They didn't announce anything on deleting the wallet address, and i have lost around 0.2 btc when i transfer btc to Kraken.
I have used the address a few months ago so the address should be valid. Just logged a problem ticket on Kraken on this issue.

Same thing here! I have been mining to a kraken bitcoin wallet using nicehash for 2 months now. Finally, I am at the edge of getting the deposit from nicehash, I logon to kraken and my bitcoin deposit wallet disappeared! WTF! The deposit list it just empty, while I am 100% sure I got my XBT wallet address from kraken.com, when I create a new wallet, it is a different address. So all this money and electricity is wasted. Scammers.

Could this have anything to do with this mail of 26th October from Kraken

Before making your next bitcoin (XBT) or tether (USDT) deposit you must create new deposit addresses. Please do this as soon as possible - as of October 30 deposits sent to old XBT or USDT addresses will be delayed and may be charged an extra service fee.

OK So they expect all miners to change their payout wallet address and you only get 4 days to do that? What about pools that have a minimum payout treshhold? You can't change your wallet in a pool and transfer your pending balance to another wallet! So they just throw away the wallet 4 days after the email?? What a scam! I needed to mine 2 months to get at the minimum payout treshhold of 0,01 XBT, only to find kraken has deleted my wallet!

So they email you saying that keeping the old wallet will cause "delays", but in reality they just delete the wallet.
