I saw Linus's video yesterday on the Corsair 900D case (http://www.corsair.com/900d) and thought it would be a pretty epic case to put several GPUs in. The end result if one invested the money to watercool it would be nothing short of amazing.

Yes, the case is a bit expensive for a mining rig, and anyone wanting to have multiple GPUs would probably just use risers and a separate frame anyway, but it's still a decent thought.

Aircooling the GPUs shouldn't be too much of an issue with the number of intake + exhaust fans.

Thoughts?

Now that I take a second look at it, one might even be able to mine with the GPUs and throw a dual-socket server board in along with several HDDs and make it a fileserver or some other sort of CPU miner.

@Dapk1nmasta This case is something amazing because you need something big to start a mining rig.

I have the Case for the Gaming Rig I built a couple of months ago for myself. I can say I would probably never think of another case ever. Such an amazing treat to look at and work with. I am going to build a mining rig and also thinking to use D900. Will probably have to mod to "hang" 7-8 cards in it and also water cool them using minimal PTEG (EK Custom Loop). Thats why i am searching if anyone else did it with the same case and came across your post.

I'll post pics of my progress on the forums if I indeed ended up building using D900.

The main reason for me to do it this way and not open frame is to use water cooling and to use minimal footprint (at home) and lowest noise possible. Since I will be into mining long term, I dont mind spending extra money in building something nice and pretty but also effective! But as of now, this is just my thinking. If i will end up doing it... we'll see in coming weeks.

Another case I have (prev gaming rig/ still operational from 2012) is the cooler master HAF X and that can also fit stuff pretty well. D900 is just a treat to look at and work with using those corsair ML120s and their red lights Wink
