The watch was bought at a Breitling dealer in Antwerp, Europe in 2007 and has been worn by me for a few years before it was put in a safe. Last month I bought a new leather Breitling strap and I had the watch completely serviced and cleaned up by a watchmaker for EUR 340 (around USD 400). This means the watch can be enjoyed for many years to come without any cost. For those who are not familiar with Swiss luxury watches, this is an automatic instrument which means it is not powered by a battery but by the movement of your wrist. My watchmaker was so kind to take some pictures of the actual service of this watch:
