I am considering to try my luck in Scrypt (LTC DOGE) solo mining Smiley
Have some gear laying around, so I don't have to buy.

Is there a difference in the chance of hitting a Block between:

- 25x 16MH with all using a different payout Address? (The pool "sees" 25 miners)
- combine the 16MH in 4x 100MH using a different payout Address? (The pool "sees" 4 miners, )
- combine all the power (400MH) on 1 payout address (The pool "sees" 1 miner, however it is 25x16MH using the same address)

Does any of this give a bigger chance in solo mining?

For me luck is the same in each case and only your global hashrate is important.

So the fact I use 16 miners with 16 controllers, does not give a bigger chance as one miner with one controller?

Yeah, the more hashrate is a bigger chance, I know.
But using more miners, does -not even slight- give a bigger chance?

One again, only your global hashrate is important. 25x16 is the same as 400(which consists of 25x16 miners).

The simple answer is no.  Total hash is all that matters.

Complex answer is maybe in some cases, but not your example.

If you are renting from nicehash  a number like 5gh  which is around 10x l3+  you would be better off with 2 rentals of 2.5gh

The reason in this special case is a miner could be using different firmware/software and it has a block hitting issue.
So one rental of 10gh all from the same guy using shitty firmware/software means you can't win.

Two separate rentals means you have 2 shots at finding a guy with good firmware/software so you chance of winning may be better also may not.

Since in the case of 1 rental 10 good units from 1 guy vs 2 rentals  5 good units and 5 bad units the single rental is better.

In your case your 16 pieces all use same mining firmware and software so it should not matter.
