high im looking to get into mining but only have a cpu and nowhere near enough money for a asic so that puts bitcoins low on the mining list.
wondering what coins are easier to mine but still have a good value?

You will end up paying more in electricity than you will make with CPU mining. However here  is a site that will show you what coins are the most profitable to mine http://coinchoose.com/

Try Primecoin - it's very new so difficulty is still low.

May be a long-term contender since it does useful work rather than just hashing.
