"Is it possible for Bitcoin price to fall or crash? if so, how?"

In this world, everything is possible.

Except for a BTC crash of course.

Of course it can crash... but when, how low, and for how long it does stay that low... no one knows yet...

i think long term it will go up again..  Smiley so a crash is good to stock up on some coins...

I really do think we can all be confident that after today a bitcoin will never be worth less than $50

Bitcoins can certainly fall. How much it falls depends on your calculations but a good estimate is to use the % change in price over total price of historical price change data compared to figures like volume of trade and such. Right now it's tough for anybody to figure out when the recent boom is going to stop but it seems a great number of people are starry-eyed. A crash? I couldn't even begin to tell you if that could happen, especially with so many investing not only their money but their time through the huge number of services like merchant websites, escrow services, ease of payment services for bitcoins, gambling sites, all sorts of sites. Once people invest not only their money but their time and interests, a niche market like this is usually around for the long run.

I just sold everything except my profits from buying over the last two weeks. Now I'm playing with free money.

Yes it can go down. Do not spend money you can not afford to loose. In the longer run price might go up (I think it will), but you might be needing the money sooner then that (depending on how much you buy).

It's always possible...  It's crashing right now!  Well...  Let's see how low it goes before bouncing back up Wink

It will drop significantly in two months or so when the ASIC miners start converting....not that they can swing the market by themselves but it will create enough momentum to devalue the bitcoin 20 or 30% ...it will rebound after that slowly again.

Crash...only if we lose the integrity of the algorithm (large entity takes it over) but they would be undermining their own expenditure.  The exception being a government entity (luckily bitcoin is irrelevant in terms of the major economic contributors to world, US, China, Japan, etc..)

It should correct itself at some point, probably around the 30 mark. The bubble was expected, but with any luck it will go back up in another month.
