I think it's inevitable. Many governments are starting to see crypto currencies as something they think they can control. When ASSIC starts listing them they will begin to slowly replace fiat is small niches and then it won't take long for it to become a normal way to purchase things.

This will never happen for two main reasons.

1. In essence, modern money is emitted without typing on paper. Debts generate debts.

2. No currency will be inconsistent.
