Hey! I think it was 2 days ago that Sunny King mentioned that he would implement a form of API for getwork for external miners.

1.) How's this going?

2.) What do you plan to include in the API output? That way, we can start building external miners.

From what I understand, the main things that an external miner needs are the block hash and the difficulty. Am I right in saying that the block hash, when converted to decimal, needs to be a factor of the average of the first number in the prime chain? Then the mining program could just return the first prime, and the client would derive the chain from there?
