I know alot of you probably have similar totals or even way more substantial if only you kept what you had. When I look at my address and it says Total Received $902,159.15 I do a facepalm and maybe scream a little. But of course I bought all of those many years ago for just $100's of dollars and spent them almost instantly.... I didnt technically lose anything but If only I had kept them! Ahhh its destroying my brain. Anybody else in the If Only Club? I'm sure there are tons of you out there.

And.... while writing this out it went from $902,000 to $905,000. So if I had kept those I would've just made $3,000 in a couple minutes. Ahhh...  If Only.

This is a problem with Bitcoin and some cryptos in general. When you use some, you can almost always have used them in future at a greater price. Don't beat yourself up over it, you can't predict the future. For all you or anyone else could've known, Bitcoin could be at $1 instead of 11k.

Well ya if I would have saved each and every bitcoin I ever had I literally would have made a hefty profit.. its really irritating sometimes when you think about it and you know the real problem with it is * what if* and I don't really think that we ever need to think that much about the past because I literally feel that timely encashment of bitcoins is still a more Trustable method than holding also we do need money sometimes or the other so its mot really a bad deal at all!
Also in the future its gonna hit a all time high even higher than this so holding your bitcoins for that span of time might decrease the guilt you have about them Smiley anyways don't think that much about the past.

Nah, don't torture or fry your brain thinking about you have lost something that you haven't really had. If you have sold your bitcoins a whle ago and you have enjoyed the money, then why regret? It only means that getting rich is not for you... Anyway, I cashed out 3btc @10,000 USD because I thought it would crash after it hit the ATH, but look at it now, it's 11,000 and still rising. I bought my coins back in Feb when it was @ $800. I have regrets, but no regrets. ha ha.

Just a couple of days ago. I remembered I came across bitcoin just a year ago when a lady came to promote a ponzi scheme to me. I may have come across itbearlier but never took notice of it. So this lady talked about how i could get rich with a ponzi and so on and so forth.

I was curious what bitcoin was and bought 0.05 worth of the coin. Like all ponzi, the thing ended up like all ponzi and I had lost some of my coins to them. I looked around at other opportunities Bitcoin held and saw none worthwhile: I never searched well.

I remember that the lady told me it's better not to sell because it appreciates. I didn't quite know what she meant by 'appreciates', moreover, I needed money. I had learnt how to convert to fiat and so, the balance from my 0.05 btc was sold for cash.

Then in August I came across this forum when something about Bitcoin came up again. Wow...I knew this is where I could really learn about it and two days ago after months of really understanding what Bitcoin is, I remembered my
first 0.05 btc and decided to check its worth and alas...its value had multiplied and I wished I knew what I know.

My Bitcoin story.

I think it may be one of the things holding bitcoin back as a currency or payment system ... now, nobody wants to part with their BTC.  I'll trade with my Etherium or Litecoin, but never my BTC.  Once it's in my wallet, it's staying there.

It seems that you created a new account just to post this and to hide your identity(much more facepalm if you show your true account w/address), I understand it btw.

You are not alone because all of the people that's using Bitcoin for a long term now are experiencing that regret of a lifetime. In my active Bitcoin address I have a $19k+ total receive Bitcoins but I felt like I only used about $2k+ from it, and I only created it last year of October. Earning a single Bitcoin nowadays is so hard and you received your 78 BTC with less than 1 month before.

'Only if' is a stressing 2 words that will come up to our mind when we look up to our Bitcoin addresses that we knew to have an appreciating value over time that we just only spent because we need to have that money in real life. Only if we could see what the future brings.

This is my first ever account on here. I've been kinda obsessed with bitcoin lately and this seems like a great community and the best way for me to learn more about it and how to move forward in bitcoin. Way back when I bought my original coins I wasn't involved in the community at all.  I kinda thought it was a cool first topic.
