Hi, my name is Bill and I'm addicted to mining......

I've been bitten by the Bitcoin bug a few weeks ago and although I feel a little late to the game; better late then never, right?  Looking back I remember reading an article in Wired magazine about Bitcoin a few years ago and thinking, that's cool, but then never doing any thing about it (kick self in ass). Well as least I'm here now!

Love this forum, I've been learning so much! Thank you all for feeding my addiction....... See you around.

Hello.

I kindly disagree: it is better to never start mining, and lose money, than starting late as you do Smiley

I'm mining with 7 USB ASICs at the moment. Not much I know but they were given to me and they run in my data center ( free electric and AC). My startup costs were zero so anything I make is profit at this point. I'm looking to add more equipment as soon as I have available funds.  I have tons of space in the data center.

Actually, you are stealing electricity.  We had a guy on here do that a year or so ago.  He was doxxed and got fired, so be careful.

The more serious issue here is the software you installed to do the mining.  Most IT security departments throw a fit about unapproved software being installed behind a company firewall.  I guess that's not an issue if you run the department but consider what you would do if one of your subordinates installed software that was constantly polling a site outside your network.

Hi Bill,

That sounds like a whole lot of trouble/risk for the $1/month at most those 7 USB ASICs would cost you to run at your house.
