I've been learning and reading the forums here for a month now to learn about Mining on a Mac, venturing into Terminal for the first time, installing Homebrew, CGMiner. I'm getting there, but still definitely noob and can't get my ASICminer USB going.

So, my question is..For sake of ease, I want to use MacMiner (or BitMinter client) with my ASICminer USB. BitMinter doesn't seem to recognize my USB on a Mac. When I run the latest version of MacMiner, I get the following message:

dyld: Library not loaded: /Applications/MacMiner.app/Contents/Resources/curl/lib/libcurl.4.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/MacMiner.app/Contents/Resources/bfgminer/bin/bfgminer
Reason: Incompatible library version: bfgminer requires version 8.0.0 or later, but libcurl.4.dylib provides version 7.0.0

Can anyone pass along a solution for this? Or perhaps a way for the BitMinter client on Mac to recognize my USB? Just something to get this going with as little headache as possible would be very much appreciated.

I would have posted this in the proper threads but noob status, thanks.

Please try the latest version and let me know whether this fixes the issue for you. In bfgminer you just need to

install these drivers http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

plug in the device, open terminal and run ls /dev/cu*

find your device which will look something like /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART

in advanced options in MacMiner put -S /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART then click apply before starting to mine.

got my usb ASICMiner going his way.

seems to overheat, or maybe triplemining is having some problems.

any suggestions on the settings?

i might pick up a better heat sync and some thermal paste when fry's opens.
thinking of getting a raspberry pi for my stick too.

May I ask how you got it working?
Running it as an ASIC miner in MacMiner I assume?
I did all of this, press start, and nothing happens.
