Thank you for your kind words Sensei. Financial planning is indeed a very important aspect in life; not only for your current wallet and retirement outlook, but also for your mental well-being.

Yet, disinterest in basic concepts (e.g. the power of compound interest), lack of time, and perceived complexity, mean that many middle-class Americans leave money on the table. Tax savings, interest savings on consumer debt, and premium savings on expensive insurance policies, etc., are, in effect, risk free returns that people give up without obtaining anything in return. That's unnecessary.
