Hey guys, did any one came across this:

Connecting any of the cards to ANY of the PCIE X1 slots generate TONS of these event IDs, and the rig freezes and reboot after random time (minutes).

if the same card is connected to the yellow PCIE x16 - then no errors occurred and everything runs fine.

what i tried:

1. update BIOS to the latest
2. Change all to GEN2
3. Change all to GEN1
4. Change all to Auto
5. install Chipset drivers
6. Test different risers
7. Test different cards

nothing helped. each time a card is connected to PCIE X1 - i`m flooded with these events:

A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Component: PCI Express Root Port
Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express)

Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x1B:0x0
Vendor ID:Device ID: 0x8086:0xA2EE
Class Code: 0x30400

The details view of this entry contains further information.

anyone ran into this issue ?

That "fix" is basically to disable PCIe error reporting (AER, or Advanced Error Reporting). You will stop seeing the flood of error messages, but the errors will still be there.

PCIe has pretty robust error checking and correction mechanisms. If a bit error occurs in transmission of a packet, the packet is re-transmitted. If error rates are low, there's no impact to system operation. But, when error rates are high, there's a higher chance that packet replays will time out or the link will fail altogether (which normally crashes the system, I haven't really seen any system that gracefully handles a surprise down event, especially consumer hardware).

If it is a poor channel issue, typically slots further away from the CPU will have worse channel performance and progressively higher error rates. Does the BIOS have settings for equalizer settings? You could try playing with the values. That could fix a channel loss issue. You could also try shorter USB cables.

It could also be poor PCB fab quality. All else fails, you could try to get a replacement from Biostar.

I have the same problem and the same board. I have 2 of those boards and it doesn't happen on one of them.

Another really annoying thing is that it gets lots of incorrect shares, I assume because of this, because there are no memory errors in any of my cards.

The White USB ports also DO NOT WORK. That is in BOTH motherboards. Biostar really needs to get their stuff together. BIOS updates are poor too. I'm not buying this again, I'll go for ASRock next time.

I have this board and was able to fix this error by doings 2 things.

1. Enable "Lock pages to memory" in local group policy
2. increase pagefile size to 8192 - 16384

I hope that helps, I was pulling my hair out on this one and finally got it working smoothly.
