🚀 Geelong (Raptoreum Dev) Upgrade is Live — 10x TPS Boost for Dingocoin!

The highly anticipated Geelong upgrade is here, taking Dingocoin to the next level!
With this release, transaction capacity climbs from ~33 TPS to approximately 180 TPS — a 10x increase — all while maintaining Dingocoin’s proven Proof-of-Work security.

⚠️ Mandatory Update Details
This is a required upgrade with a scheduled fork at block 2,254,540.
All node operators and service providers must update to v1.18.0.0 to remain on the main chain.

💾 Important: Disk Usage Advisory
The Geelong upgrade introduces significantly higher throughput, which may cause rapid growth in your node’s data directory size.
We strongly recommend enabling pruned mode unless you require the full blockchain for archival or infrastructure needs.

To enable pruning:
Code:
prune=550

Add this to your dingocoin.conf file to limit blockchain size (~550 MB).

It is essential to note that while the fork height has been set, activation will not occur unless a larger block size is triggered. During this period, some nodes will operate with a 100-block reorg depth while updated nodes use a 40-block depth. This mismatch can lead to chain splits and exposes the network to potential 51% attacks. To be absolutely clear, this behavior is the result of decisions by the current development team and is outside of my control.

Do not make transactions until the fork has completed. It's currently sitting in limbo until the chain splits.

Thanks to some very helpful people we have successfully split the chain and the network is running on the new code version 1.18.0

It is still recommended to make small test transactions to third parties to ensure they are on the right chain prior to making larger transactions.

Thank you and well done to the new devs that rolled this out. Hoping for the best with this new upgrade.
