so I have a pending transaction to an old address. This address has not been used or received any payments on it. I thought I was hacked and panicked as the password was incorrect and restored the wallet using the seed... the transaction is still pending to the old address but the old address does not show up on the used page. did I lose my money?

Well, you should not have lost your coins, the latency has augmented these days due to the big amount of tx queued. Please you need to show your txid to see if it has any confirmation yet. Look at the service thread for a free tx accelerator and just wait a little longer. Once i had to wait for three days for a transaction.
Hope it helps.

I have never used coinbase, my wallet is Electrum. A transaction id should look like this one
Code:
https://blockchain.info/tx/e93d6827e89027a70ed76184590b6dcde7784883fa9ea622ba67376e11d92e97

the text after the tx, you see. Look at the info of your transaction in coinbase, you should find something similar to e93d6827e89027a70ed76184590b6dcde7784883fa9ea622ba67376e11d92e97.

PS:
The reason why i don't use webwallets is because most of them don't give you the private key of your addresses so they could steal all your money and go away.

You can probably find the transaction ID by looking up your address on a blockexplorer... like here: https://blockchain.info/

Put your old address in the search there and see if you can see anything.
