Hi everyone,

My only interest at this point is mining the small scale crypto stuff, like Verge....not Bitcoin....right now with my humble 740GT I get between 380-760 Kh/s, pretty lame but I've managed a few XVG coins in a couple days, this is my first time mining for anything and it's fun from a learning and hobby perspective...but I want to scale it up without buying a $500-600 video card (yet).

Question, would a USB miner really make that much more of a difference? I've seen these for about $70.....I'm assuming they would generate less power/lag on my machine vs. the video card, but also how much of a hash performance/earning difference between THAT, and a better video card? (say a 1050 or 1060 GTX?)

Appreciate any advice...and yes I know I'm not going to get rich doing it this way, but it's a start...

- Brett
